It seems to me that Action for Prisoners' Families has a critical role as a facilitating organisation to bring together organisations who have direct experience of prisoners' families.
Training
Action for Prisoners' Families and our members provide awareness raising and bespoke training in prisons and the community. We believe it is essential for us and our members to develop, deliver, promote and monitor training and qualifications for prisoners' and offenders' families and those who work with them.
Action for Prisoners' Families Training
Action for Prionsers' Families runs regular Hidden Sentence and Train the Trainer training courses at venues around the country.
Hidden Sentence: because families serve sentences too
Hidden Sentence training gives professionals a clear overview of the issues facing prisoners’ families and provides a range of strategies and resources to help you support them. Hidden Sentence is accredited by City and Guilds: it forms part of 7442: Award in Understanding the Support Needs of Prisoners' Families
Hidden Sentence Train the Trainer courses
The Train the Trainer training equips trainers to deliver Hidden Sentence training.
